Kirov State Medical University (KSMA) is the youngest higher medical establishment in the Russian Federation that was created to consolidate all Kirov region's programs in medical education. Founded in 1987 by an act of the Russian Ministry of Health Protection as a medical school affiliation of Perm State Medical Academy, KSMA was granted the status of an independent state-supported higher medical school in 1993, in recognition of its growth and development as a regional health system.

KSMA`s objectives are:
  • To provide educational programs that enable medical students to master all branches of medicine and health care skills;
  • To prepare medical students to demonstrate competence in their fields of study at appropriate degree levels and to encourage excellence in student learning;
  • To develop programs oriented to the most urgent needs of the region`s health care;
  • To provide graduate and continuing education programs for both professional advancement and personal enrichment;
  • To encourage and provide essential support services for creative activities and research;
  • To provide a variety of public services to enhance the well-being of the medical school and its community;
  • To provide leadership and planning for future development.

KSMA is an active participant in national research programs held under the supervision of the Russian Ministry of Health Care and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. At present Academy takes part in such national projects as Public health and Education thus confirming its role in the reform of the system of health protection, globalization of higher medical education and practical realization of the Bologna declaration.

KSMA has already gained experience in international cooperation in joint research programs with such foreign countries as Germany, Great Britain and the USA. Another important sphere that is being developed is academic mobility. By now more than 400 students and researchers of KSMA have visited Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, China, Canada, the USA and some other countries for various academic purposes.

Academy has been an active participant in international conferences. By itself, KSMA has organized more than 100 international conferences and workshops on actual problems of family medicine, urology, andrology, gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery, haematology, therapy, neurology, cardiac surgery, hepatology, hepatic surgery, ophthalmology, ophthalmic surgery and dentistry. New methods of surgery are constantly being mastered. Basic laboratories take an active part in international clinic tests.

KSMA has good scientific relationships with Kirov Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Kirov Research Institute of Microbiology, Perm Medical Academy, Nizhny Novgorod Medical Academy, medical academies and medical research institutions of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

For nearly 25 years Academy has been training foreign students from various Asian, South American and African countries such as Azerbaijan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Congo, Georgia and others.

One of the departments of KSMA is the Institute of postgraduate education which enables graduates and practitioners to improve their knowledge through the following kinds of post-graduate and additional education: research postgraduate course, clinical residency, internship, and professional specialist retraining.

An important area of the Academy`s life is health recreation, sports and other facultative studies. KSMA can be proud of European, national and regional champions in judo, swimming, skiing, track, basketball and chess.

KSMA students are active and good at amateur concerts, amateur drama performances and Kirov intercollege «Funny Tricks and Witty Humor» contests. Now at Academy, there are 2 dance clubs, a theatre and a chorus. Students take an active part in popular «Students` Spring» festivals held among Kirov higher educational establishments and are always prize winners of these competitions. Among the students, there are also many activists of the Regional Charity Foundation.

UNIVERSITY HOSTELS LIFE & FACILITIES

HOSTEL LIFE 

Kirov Stae Medical University is providing decent accommodation on very economical charges, In each Studio, 3 x students are living and it has 1 attached x kitchen, 1 x bath & 1 x toilet. Basic needs like bed sets, Mattresses, Bed sheets & cooking range will be supplied by the university. All utility bills like electricity and gas are also included in the annual hostel fee.

For Laundry, Common washing machines are available on each floor where students can do their laundry. However, it is also allowed by the university that students can buy their own equipment like washing machine, fridge, microwave etc and place them in their personal studio kitchen. The cost for this equipment is not more than 45000 Pakistani rupees which all 3 students can divide among themselves and each share will be only 100$ or less. Students can eat in the University cafeteria which is also subsidized and very economical but all non-vegetarian food is not (Halal). Students can buy their (Halal) meat from the mosque every Friday and can do their own cooking in their respective studios.

The normal cost of living in Kirov for a student is 150$ a month. With this amount, Students can easily manage their food expenses, stationery, copies, internet cards, Laundry and small entertainment.

PART TIME JOBS BY THE UNIVERSITY

PRACTICAL JOB EXPERIENCE

Kirov State Medical University has a very unique opportunity for our students. Once our Student completes their 3 years of studies, We offer our students practical paid duties, duties in order to have proper real-time working experience.

Students according to their study Schedule, can register with the hospital management and sign up for the upcoming duties, each duty will be for 12 hours and students will be paid (750 Russian Rubles) for each duty.

Then we have the "Second Option" as well which is even more practical with a better salary. Students during their summer vacation can sign up for the 2-month “Medical Summer Camp”. For this complete activity, students can earn approximately (120,000 Russian rubles) along with a state certificate.

ADMISSION PROCESS

INTERVIEW & REGISTRATION

Once the Students are ready for admission, Our team will make their appointment for an interview with Madam Ella at our Rawalpindi Branch Office. After a successful interview, the Student shall pay the r(Non-Refundable) registration fee of 300$ and his/her documents will be uploaded into the system and the admission process will begin.

ADMISSION TEST AND INVITATION LETTER

As per the University policy, the admission test will be conducted either online or at the campus after arriving in Russia. Once the Student clears his test then his/her document will be processed and sent to Russian immigration for an Invitation letter. This process can take up to 45 days

DOCUMENTS ATTESTATION & TRANSLATION

Students need to get their matric & FSC certificates attested by their regional educational boards, Higher education (HEC) in case of bachelor or Master's degree along with final attestation from (MOFA) Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan. All educational documents shall be translated into the Russian language. Police Character certificates and Medical fitness certificates are also required for a Russian visa.

VISA SUBMISSION

Once the invitation letter arrives, Students will deposit their remaining fee. An invoice will be issued to the student which he/she will submit to the embassy when applying for the visa. All appointments for visa submission will be arranged by EEUA. Students will apply for their visas. In 10 days maximum visas will be issued. In case of Visa rejection, Same time all submitted fees will be returned to the student except the registration fee.

FLIGHT BOOKING & MOSCOW AIRPORT PICKUP ARRANGEMENT

After the visa, the Student will book his/her flight and share the details with the EEUA office, They will organize his pick & drop from Moscow to their Universities.
